SWEET BUT DEADLY PART 1
You know which is the country with the highest sugar consumption per inhabitant? I wouldn’t believed it either. The country with the highest sugar consumption, per inhabitant, is Brazil, 51.9 kg per year. Australia follows with 48.9 kilograms, followed by the United States. In Germany it’s consumed 34.2 kilograms per year per inhabitant, which means that many people consume larger quantities, for when it says about the average per inhabitant means that were also included the new borns, small children and elderly between 80-90 years.
Most sugar is consumed as a drink and sweets of all kinds. Who allows himself to sweeten too much and too often exposes himself to obesity, tooth decay and the metabolism imbalance with multiple and severe consequences.
Many still do not know that sugary drinks regardless of name and comprising, are sugar bombs.
It is considered that India is the home of the sugarcane. Here the sugar consumption is 14 kg per inhabitant, while in China it’s consumed 6.1 kg per year per inhabitant.
To exclude the possibility of a misunderstanding, remember that glucides or carbohydrates, should constitute 70% of the energy intake, because the human body fuel is the monosaccharides called glucose. Supplying the cells with necessary fuel is made through blood which, in normal eating conditions contains a relatively steady glucose. Food starch is disolved gradually in the glucose, which is absorbed and reaches the cells.
The sugar that is used on our tables it consists of a glucose molecule and one fructose in almost equal parts. The sugar is dissolved quickly in the two components and is absorbed almost instantly, increasing blood sugar levels by the amount consumption and the amount of insulin secretion, which causes the glucose entering the muscle cells.
Those who love sweets should know that cells that are designed to destroy microbes can not perform their task if in the blood are found high glucose concentrations.
Research has shown that the leukocyte antimicrobial reduction fighting capacity after eating sweets is not of short-term but persist in the next 5 hours. If we think about how often consumes some people sweets, then we realize that their leukocytes do not work almost never normal.
It was also observed a good thing: fasting for 36 hours increase in a significant manner the ability of leukocytes to kill germs. When you are sick and do not have appetite, use the opportunity and fasting for a day or two, maintaining the water consumption, thus, you can help overcome the disease.
Many statistics show a link between the sugar intake and colorectal cancer, ovarian, uterine, breast, prostate, kidney and nervous system. Available data provides a reason to reduce the consumption of sugar and honey.
Sugar is harmful to all, whether we suffer or not of diabetes.
