Mountain View Conservation Centre - A Commitment to Conservation. Founded in 1986, The Mountain View is a world renowned wildlife conservation centre dedicated to the breeding and re-introduction of rare & endangered wildlife species, and to the protection of their habitat. Located just outside Fort Langley in the Fraser Valley, off Exit #66 on Highway#1, Mountain View hosts over 55 species of the world's most rare and endangered wildlife. For instance, participating in the Canadian Marmot Recovery Program, eleven Vancouver Island Marmot pups were born here in 2007, just one of their many re-introduction programs. From an Andean Condor to a herd of Masai Giraffes, Aardwolves to Zebras, the Centre hosts many rare and amazing creatures from all over the world: Fossa & Lemur from Madagascar, Painted Cape Hunting Dogs from Africa(now considered to be the most endangered species) to South American Tapirs. From Cheetah to Fishing Cats, there are over 15 species of wild cats alone!
