Some of our favourite destinations for snowmobiling in Vancouver, Coast & Mountains are:

Whistler

Deep powder snow and mild winter temperatures make Whistler the perfect destination for snowmobiling. Both first timers and expert riders will find a snowmobile tour sure to thrill.

High above Whistler Village are endless networks of trails and deep powder. Ride your snowmobile to the spectacular Crystal Hut and enjoy an amazing fondue dinner or stop at the cozy Trapper’s Cabin for hot chocolate and a barbecue smokie. On Cougar Mountain beginners can participate in learn to ride, and family tours while learning about the sport of snowmobiling in a safe, exciting and informative environment. And experienced riders can hone their backcountry skills on a faster paced tour into more wilderness areas, over frozen lakes and through stands of ancient cedar.

Operators welcome all ages and abilities and will take the time to instruct you on the proper use of your snowmobile before leading you on a journey through magnificent forests and awe inspiring views.

South Chilcotin

The South Chilcotin mountains give riders access to an abundance of snowmobile trail systems and take you high above the treeline into snow covered alpine meadows. Once in the alpine it’s a powder paradise with miles of untracked snow and with so much open space to explore you’ll feel like you’re on top of the world! Those riders seeking true adventure can take to the miles and miles of old mining and logging roads for a spectacular snowmobiling playground. Take day trips from a cozy lodge and try some hill climbing, touring on the packed trails or racing across a frozen lake. And in March and April dedicated riders can head for the high alpine and play in the warm sun on a glittering glacier.

Safety Tip:
Exploring the backcountry with a guide is the best option for visitors who don't know the area or winter safety practices. Know how to properly use you avalanche transceiver and always tell someone where you're going. Wear a helmet.
