Explore extraordinary music!

From August 5-19, 2007, Festival Vancouver presents hundreds of world-renowned artists performing live in concert. Orchestral, choral, chamber, jazz, opera, and world music concerts will fill nine Vancouver venues with glorious sounds. The 2007 festival features a thematic salute to the music and musicians of the Nordic countries along with special programming featuring performers and music of Asia. Catch vocal wizard Bobby McFerrin (July 27-Festival fundraising kick-off), Canadian opera stars Richard Margison and Measha Brueggergosman with the Vancouver Opera Orchestra (August 7), the 83-member Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra performing on traditional Chinese instruments (August 18) and Finnish a cappella sensation Rajaton (August 15).
