In the Metro Vancouver area, shopping is easy because most of the shopping areas all condensed onto a great stretch of road. Robson Street, which has a number of high fashion name brands and is a great place to people watch. Main Street is where you will find some of the great local designers and very unique and funky items. Yaletown, was once an industrial area and now has been converted into one of the trendiest locations in the city. Here you can do a little shopping and then stop off at one of the many restaurant patios for a bit to eat.
If you head out toward the Mighty Fraser Valley, you will find lots of opportunities to open your wallet and purchase some world class wines and the freshest produce around. There is also wonderful little galleries and craft stores ditted around the Fraser Valley, here you can pick up great gifts to bring back for your family.
The Sea to Sky highway is an area rich in First Nation culture and you will be able to find stores where you can pick up some memorable pieces. Whistler, like Vancouver, has some great shopping. Everything from local designers to name brands are up in the village.
And finally, the Sunshine Coast which is also considered the "Arts and Culture Coast", has numerous international known artists living and working here. They display their works in a number of galleries and in local markets. When visiting the Sunshine Coast make sure you visit the local markets to find that rare art piece for your collection.
