Motoko was born and raised in Japan and immigrated to Canada in the early 1990's. She has been an artist all her life and in 2006 she established her private gallery in Garden Bay to showcase her contemporary art. Situated in Pender Harbour, Motoko's Original Art exhibits her original art, her giclee limited edition prints, her signed reproductions and her art cards.

Motoko is particularly known for her versatility and her exquisite use of vibrant colour and texture.
