Paragliding
Paragliding is another popular aerial activity in Vancouver, Coast and Mountains. While it may resemble a parachute, a paraglider floats in sky and surfs on rising air currents in order to soar upwards. In Metro Vancouver, guided tours launch from Grouse Mountain in the spring and summer. In Pemberton, tour operators offer tandem flights with a pilot instructor sitting behind you. There are also great launch sites in the Fraser Valley, including Mount Woodside, Bridal Falls, Lower Bridal, Sumas Mountain, Little Nick, Vedder Mountain, Deroche Mountain, Elk Mountain and Liumchen/Baldy.
