Impaired peripheral circulation – full baths 2-3 times per week for 2 months.
Insect bites – apply a paste made from powdered plant with a little water on the affected area.
Anxiety – a popular method whose effectiveness has been confirmed by current studies is to make pillows lavender by filling a cloth little sack with shredded dried plant. It is placed in the vicinity of the head during sleep. It has very effective repelling taking away the agitation, anxiety, insomnia and raises a deeper sleep.
Disinfectant of the ambience – there are made fumigation in the space that is wanted to be disinfected by burning some dried lavender stems.
PREPARATION AND ADMINISTRATION
The powder – finely ground the plant with an electric coffee grinder, then sieve through a flour sifter. Take, ussualy, 1 teaspoon 4 times per day on an empty stomach. The powder is put under the tongue for 10-15 minutes, and then swallowed with water. The powder can not be preserved longer than 10 days because it alters its properties.
The combined infusion (prescription for 250 ml.) – 1-2 teaspoons of lavender leaves powder left to soak in a half a cup of water from evening to morning, when is filtered; keep the macerate and scald the remaining powder in a half a cup of hot water for 20 minutes, then allow it to cool; combine the two extracts; drink the preparation with a quarter of an hour before a meal. In the absence of other specific recommendations the dose is 3 cups per day.
Concentrated combined infusion (for external use) – 5 tablespoons of lavender powder left to soak in a half a cup of water from evening to morning, when is filtered; keep the macerate, and scald the remaining powder in half a cup of hot water for 20 minutes, then allow it to cool; combine the two extracts. It is used only for external use. It can be used as it is to wash the affected areas or in the form of compresses, by the application on a thick cloth.
Cataplasms – may be prepared by mixing the fine powder of the plant with water to obtain a dough consistency. It applies directly to the skin on the affected area. Do not apply on open wounds.
Full baths – in the warm water for bath add lavender concentrated combined infusion prepared from 300 grams of plant to 5 liters of water. Ensure the water is warm enough (but bearable); if water tends to cool too much during the time of the bath will be added additional hot water. The duration of a complete bath is 15-30 minutes. The complete baths are contraindicated for heart suffering people and hypertension patients. At least 2 hours after a bath will be avoided exposure to cold and drafts. Due to soothing effects of the lavender will carefully be avoided the appearance of sleep during full bath.
Foot baths, sitz baths – in a basin of warm water is added lavender concentrated combined infusion prepared from 50 grams of plant to 1 liter of water. The duration of the bath is 10-15 minutes. The application does not continue if the water cools. After completing the bath are avoided exposures to cold and drafts.
No overdose! In high doses at internal use can give drowsiness.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
