HYSSOP (Hyssopus officinalis)
It is a plant with a fresh, refreshing flavor, used for thousands of years in therapy, being mentioned also in the Bible in Psalms of David, and being part of the plants considered sacred. As remedy is distinguished by its respiratory stimulants properties (dilates gills, stimulates the nerve center of breath), hypotension (produce vasodilation) purifier. Has a remarkable action on the psyche, having tonic and anti-depressive effects, from where a wide range of usage in mental anorexia, hysteria, epilepsy (in small doses – up to maximum 2 grams per day). In serious diseases (cancer, cirrhosis, severe viral infection) is highly positive, reviving the patient, restoring its appetite and tone, helping him to mobilize and heal himself.
INTERNAL: asthmatic, anticatarrhal, bronchial and lung antisecretory, bronchodilator, carminative, diuretic, expectorant, emmenagogue, febrifuge, prevents fatty infiltration of the liver, reduce the fragility of capillaries, regulator of appetite, regulator of blood pressure, sedative, spasmodic, sudorific, bitter tonic, respiratory tonic, heart tonic -medium-weak, arterial vasodilator, vermifuge -weak.
INTERNAL: – acute and chronic bronchitis, catarrhal bronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis, tonsillitis, asthma, dyspnea (breathing difficulty), fever, flu, colds, coughs of various etiologies – anorexia, bulimia, flatulence, dyspepsia, indigestion – cancer disease (adjuvant) reduce the vomiting, loss of appetite, is tonic – hyper and hypo-blood pressure, capillary fragility, hysteria, fatigue, chronic fatigue – severe (including alcoholic) intoxication, protects the liver.
The powder (produced by finely ground with electric coffee grinder) – take a teaspoon of powder (hold it under the tongue for 10-15 minute) and then swallow with water. The treatment is administered 3-4 times per day on an empty stomach.
The macerate – 1 tablespoon of hyssop powder is allowed to soak in a cup of water from evening to mornings then filtered. Drink 2-3 cups per day on an empty stomach.
EXTERNAL: – herpes, light burns, skin rashes of dermatitis, itchy leukorrhoea (washing). It is used as a cataplasm: 2 tablespoons of aerial parts of hyssop is moistened with warm water and stir until a paste is formed. Allow to soak for 1 hour, then apply through a gauze on the affected places.
Dill (Anethum graveolens)
Anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic (reduces or removes smooth muscle contractions in internal organs), carminative, insomnia, detoxifying, digestive, diuretic, emmenagogue, estrogen, expectorant, female gonadal activity stimulant, galactagogue, incentive and cortico-adrenal gland activity regulatory, digestive stimulant, stomachic.
RECOMMENDED AS AN ADJUVANT IN:
Amenorrhea (absence of menstruation), anorexia, urinary tract diseases, heart diseases, colic of any kind, dysmenorrhea (painful and irregular periods), hemorrhoids, infertility in women, breast hypoplasia (to increase the breasts), premature menopause, adjuvant in hirsutism, indigestion, difficult digestion, insomnia, lactation, meterorism, cortical adrenal glands dysfunction and phenomena associated with them, control of vomiting and spasms in the digestive and urinary diseases.
People use it against colic of any kind, to stop hiccups, treatment of nervous disorders and to prevent and combat indigestion.
OTHER INDICATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Dill is a plant with high intensity action, especially at endocrine level. It has a strong and highly favorably effect on women with low vitality or experiencing a softening of feminine characteristics.
In case of illnesses caused by the estrogen excess (ovarian cysts and / or breast), tumors, recent hysterectomy, if serious “system” illness ‘’, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, multiple sclerosis, etc. For girls less than 14 years old (considered to be the age to install secondary sexual characters).
If heavy menses and / or long, will be used with caution and avoided during menstruation.
